The Playstation 4 is pretty awesome, except for us older gamers that would like to enjoy previous PSOne, 2 or 3 games. Well that day may soon come a reality according to Sony and that is in thanks to Star Wars. A special bundle for the recently released Star Wars Battlefront contained a handful of PS2 Star Wars games, and it appears as if the older games are running on the console via emulation. Unbeknownst to the public, Sony created a PS2 emulator for the PS4, which means classic PS2 titles can now be put on the system without the extra work and cost to the consumer. What the hell is an emulator and why is it so important you ask? Without an emulator, each PS2 game would have to be individually rebuilt and reprogrammed for the PS4. So with an emulator, we’ll be playing Crash Bandicoot on the PS4 very soon. Welcome to the future.
